List of Springboks and their Schools (1992-2022)

The South African schools’ rugby system is without a doubt the biggest role player in keeping the Springboks as one of the top rugby playing nations in the world.

Our criteria for a school to “claim” a Springbok is that the player needed to matriculate at the certain school or that he should’ve at least played for the schools’ First XV.

Examples of this is Jacques Olivier who matriculated from Menlopark in Pretoria but never represented the schools’ first team.

Thus while someone like Guy Kebble is only claimed by Diocesan College (Bishops) as he matriculated there but as a Grade 10 learner in St. Andrew’s School in Bloemfontein he was part of probably the best first team in the schools’ history playing in ten of the matches during the season.

A list of Springboks who did post-matrics will also be mentioned at the bottom of the list.
